We are a fellowship of believers, made in God's image and called as disciples of Christ to share the Good News with everyone through learning, listening, praying and working together actively to reach out to our communities.
1890's: A small group of German immigrants met for church services in the back of A. H. Miehe store (Old Maynard Locker Building)
1893: Evangelical Lutheran St. Paul's Congregation was organized
Sept. 3, 1893: First child baptized - (Mrs. Henry Steele) - nee Ilda Buenneke
May 17, 1894: First Funeral: Herman Miehe
Feb. 8, 1899: First Wedding - Otto Schmitt & Emma Miehe
1900: First pastor: Rev. E. F. Warnke / Church was dedicated
1906: First parsonage built (house at 145 Seventh St. N)
1906-1914: Luther League was formed by Pastor Tiede
April 21, 1921: The church was hit by lightning and destroyed by fire
April 24. 1921: Meeting was held and it was decided to build a new church on the same spot.
